Villa Son Font is located in the Son Font area of the city of Calviá, this is one of only 18 areas in Mallorca (Spain) that is UNESCO protected. This four bedroom holiday home (that can be rented) is in many ways a classic Mallorca villa with polished facades, natural stone and terracotta tiles. And yet, the house is renovated with micro cement floors, built-in stainless steel fixtures and Gaggenau appliances. Danish company Fritz Hansen is celebrating 60 years with Arne Jacobnsen’s iconic Egg, Swan and Drop chairs. For this anniversary they have chosen to work with the most exclusive materials. Not only do the new materials reflect the iconic design itself. They also enhance the personality of each and every chair from head to toe. Overall, the materials carefully selected for these anniversary editions are chosen to make individual statements. The keyword is ‘purity’ because pure materials will become personal with time. The materials vary from the soft and serene PURE leather, the rich and smooth SERA wool fabric, to a 23 karat gold coated base, all of which will create patina and an expression of their own with time. The serenity of nature was the starting point for the design process of the 60th anniversary. The idea was to unite the renowned heritage with a design that was relevant in time. The result is a design appealing to all senses with a mission to turn pure materials into personal design objects. The Egg and Swan chair comes in a limited number up to 1958 pieces each.
